Pilar Quinteros

Pilar Quinteros (Chile, 1988). Grew up in Chilean Patagonia, now lives and works in Basel, Switzerland. Bachelor of Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (2011), studying the MA of Arts at FHNW, Basel. In her work she combines drawing, volume, performance and video, all media that allow her to investigate notions of “reality” and transformations of specific contexts. Winner of AMA Scholarship 2018 for a residency at Gasworks, London; special mention of the jury at the 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts of Slovenia (2015); finalist of the Future Generation Art Prize 2014 and winner of the Jean-Claude Reynal Scholarship 2012. Quinteros exhibited her work in places such as 18. Istanbul Biennial (2025, Turkey); Folkestone Triennial (2021, UK); 32nd São Paulo Biennial – Live Uncertainty (Brazil, 2016); 31st Biennial of Graphic Arts – Over You-You (Slovenia, 2015); PinchukArtCentre (Ukraine, 2014); among others. She was also co-founder of International Museum of Chile (2010-2019)
