The un—realized Art Prize understands that ideas are an essential component of the artistic process. And unlike other awards, the un—realized Art Prize seeks to support yet-to-be-realized projects by professional visual artists. The jury will select five projects, ultimately culminating in support for the realization of one.
Art does not exist solely as a finished product — it can be an the idea, a sketch, a set of instructions. Some ideas endure, others need the right moment to be brought into being. Art is not only what becomes visible, but also what is thought, conceived, and perhaps never realized.
Sponsoring Entity
The un—realized Art Prize is an initiative of the Bilas Foundation, which supports social, cultural, and artistic projects. Through their support, un—realized is provided with a stable foundation, ensuring that the prize can have a lasting impact.
Leadership
Behind un—realized is a team of artists, curators, and creative organizers. Together, they create a framework that forms the foundation for the prize’s continuity, development, and implementation.
