Roman Selim Khereddine

Roman Selim Khereddine is a visual artist based in Zurich, Switzerland. His practice explores hierarchical, exploitative, and dominating relationships between humans and animals, using them as a lens to reflect on broader societal structures, behaviors, and values. In recent projects he examined a derelict horse racetrack in New York City, explored the power dynamics between a police dog and its handler, and traced the history of Moroccan snake charmers who became tent workers in Switzerland’s National Circus. Khereddine has received various awards for his work, most recently a Swiss Art Award and a work grant from the canton of Zurich in 2025. He holds Master’s degrees in History and Fine Arts.
